π The Football Field Lights Are Up @ El Dorado High School!
Families are expressing their gratitude and satisfaction for finally having lights installed at the El Dorado field! After over two decades of requests for permanent, reliable lights, our Superintendent, Dr. Alex Cherniss, and the Board majority made it happen—and quickly this time!
However, Area 2 incumbent Trustee Marilyn Anderson voted NO on the installation of lights at El Dorado. Why?
As a homeowner near a neighboring high school, Anderson mentioned that although she feels “respected as a neighbor,” high school graduations are “nightmares” for neighbors, and football games are “crazy.” She believes the District needs to “mitigate” these disturbances. Her solution? Voting NO.
Thankfully, our Board majority, including President Leandra Blades, Todd Frazier, and Shawn Youngblood, voted YESto putting students first.
As we approach this crucial election, it’s important to consider what’s at stake.
You can be sure that if Incumbent Anderson wins, more NO votes will follow when it comes to opportunities and safety improvements for our children.
…We can't afford to let that happen.
