In 2020, I voted for my (now) opponent, Marylin Anderson. In 2020 the choice was clear: either vote for LaShe Rodriguez, who was brought into Area 2 by unions and powerful Sacramento machines (and not PYLUSD families) wanting to keep schools closed during COVID, or vote for the conservative candidate, Anderson, who advocated for the reopening of schools.

This Saturday, our Stubbs for School Board team enjoyed a beautiful day at the City of Placentia’s Annual Heritage Day Parade and Festival! Events like this bring the community together in a meaningful way by putting the spotlight on our hard-working school marching bands, athletic teams, performers, artisans, local businesses, and our veterans.
The State of the District was held during last Tuesday’s board meeting, and it was exciting to see so much good news and growth within our wonderful district! We have many achievements to be thankful for under the leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Alex Cherniss, and our board majority.
Families are expressing their gratitude and satisfaction for finally having lights installed at the El Dorado field! After over two decades of requests for permanent, reliable lights, our Superintendent, Dr. Alex Cherniss, and the Board majority made it happen—and quickly this time!
However, Area 2 incumbent Trustee Marilyn Anderson voted NO on the installation of lights at El Dorado. Why?
The 15th of September marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month, coinciding with the Independence Days of five Latin American countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. The country of my birth, Mexico, celebrates its Independence Day on the 16th at 12:00 AM with “El Grito.”
Friday’s grand opening of the Family Resource Center (FRC) at @melroseelementary was a great success! It was an honor and a pleasure to connect with the community that PYLUSD serves every day, and to meet the individuals who make it all happen—like the FRC’s McKinney-Vento Liaison, Mr. Jon Matson, and many more. Thank you, Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss, for your leadership in bringing the Melrose FRC to fruition!
We remember those who lost their lives, the survivors whose lives were changed forever, and the ordinary people who acted courageously to protect others and save lives during the attacks our American soil and in our airspace.
It is now absolutely apparent that my opponent, Marilyn Anderson, is fully backed by the union (APLE), and they are pouring thousands of dollars into her political campaign. Why?
…Because she votes the way the union wants her to vote, ignoring the voices of parents and the community.
I am 100% grassroots and supported by the community. My donations come directly from the people I aim to represent. I will not allow the union to bring their politics and social and gender issues into the classroom. Marilyn Anderson has allowed this for years. I cannot be bought by a union, a political action committee (PAC), or a corporation. I will work for our community.
Let me be clear: We love our PYLUSD teachers! Our teachers deserve transparency about where their hard-earned dues to APLE are going. It’s a disgrace that APLE is running campaigns for political candidates, printing expensive signs, and paying for man-hours, all off the backs of our hardworking teachers.
A vote for me is a vote for putting kids first!
I am very proud to have won the Orange County Republican Party endorsement. The choice was made between two candidates: myself and the incumbent, Marylin Anderson. The choice was clear.
...Why? Because the OC GOP committee understands that I fully represent the values and principles of the community I seek to represent as PYLUSD Board Trustee.
The OC GOP committee overwhelmingly placed their confidence in me as the true conservative candidate when compared to incumbent Anderson...
I join Leandra Blades in denouncing the despicable misconduct by individuals talking and posting on social media about minor children, including but not limited to children of district staff and board members. I firmly denounce this misconduct, where individuals are following a child’s social media profile for purposes that seem like stalking, and implying that parental abuse could happen at the new Universal Sports Institute (USI).
Posting pictures of minors without parental consent, whether faces are blurred or not, is NOT okay. I denounce these actions and join you, Trustee Blades, in demanding that those posts be taken down immediately!
The National Night Out for the City of Placentia was a blast! It was a fantastic opportunity to thank our officers and city/county staff for their service to our community and to see them with their K9s, service vehicles, and equipment. I enjoyed meeting with our wonderful community vendors who add so much value to our city...

It's an exciting time in our school board campaign! Things are ramping up as we prepare for our precinct walks, and we are approaching 95 days until election day!

PYLUSD is shining by putting KIDS FIRST! Sports bring endless benefits that last a lifetime. What the current board majority along with Schools Superintendent Dr. Cherniss, are doing for district is simply amazing! We need to support already athletic kids achieve their maximum potential, as well as support those kids who have a dream to become athletes too as they deserve this opportunity!

🎓…A well deserved congratulations to all our PYLUSD High School graduates! This week has been an exiting one for all our highs schoolers and their families across the district. Of course each K-8 student is having a graduation too, experiencing the bittersweet excitement of advancing to the next grade while saying goodbye to their beloved teachers, all while in anticipation of meeting their new teachers after the summer concludes.
As a member of the community, a proud PYL parent, and school board candidate for PYLUSD I see so many wonderful things have been accomplished this year for our PYLUSD students, who deserve every opportunity to reach new heights in their academics each day!
