The State of the District was held during last Tuesday’s board meeting, and it was exciting to see so much good news and growth within our wonderful district! We have many achievements to be thankful for under the leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Alex Cherniss, and our board majority.
On a side note, believe it or not, but around the start of election season, a supporter of my opponent claimed at a board meeting that our district is performing poorly under current leadership. Nothing could be further from the truth!
These kinds of inaccurate statements often emerge during campaign season, but I encourage you to look at the facts. Enrollment is up, academic achievement is improving, and our schools are safer. If elected, I am committed to building on this positive momentum and ensuring even more academic opportunities for PYLUSD students and families.
